Players Rack up 1.2 Million Hours of gameplay on Barclaycard Rollercoaster Extreme to win a trip to Vegas

Gamers across the globe have been riding the digital rollercoaster on Barclaycard’s Rollercoaster iPhone App, racking up a huge 1.2 million hours of gameplay with over 10 million downloads worldwide.

Gamers from no fewer than 80 countries - from Sweden to Thailand – have been riding the digital rollercoaster on the app in a bid to get to the top of the coveted Barclaycard leaderboard. Once at the top, the four leading gamers come January will be invited to Las Vegas where they’ll take part in a global play-off and battle it out for the ultimate prize of £50,000.

It’s no wonder fans want to get to the top, as each month Barclaycard will reward the leading gamer with an Apple iPad. To date Barclaycard has given away three iPads, worth approx. £500 each, to winning gamers across the globe since the worldwide gaming phenomenon launched in July.

What’s more, it’s not all over yet as there are still four more chances for gamers to win an Apple iPad and have the opportunity to win a once in a lifetime trip to Las Vegas.

Graham Neicho from London was named as Barclaycard’s first gamer to win an iPad after his dedication to playing Rollercoaster Extreme paid off. Graham’s dedication was so impressive that he believes he clocked up around 60 hours playing the game in July to fend off competition. “You get sucked into the game from your first play as it is pretty simple to use and very exciting. You always feel like you can gain at least one more point – so always play that little bit longer.”
