Barclays strengthens its presence in East Anglia with two senior hires

IPSWICH: Barclays has today announced that the wealth and investment management division has bolstered its East Anglia team with two senior appointments to its Ipswich office.

James Wood has joined as a Corporate Wealth Advisor within Barclays Corporate & Employer Solutions, and will focus on advising local entrepreneurs, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), and smaller corporate clients on a range of solutions to meet their business continuity and succession planning needs. Andrew Spivey has joined as a Portfolio Manager to run discretionary portfolios in the East Anglia Portfolio Management team, which forms part of the central Global Research and Investments department.

James joins Barclays from HSBC Bank Plc, where he has worked as a commercial financial planning adviser since 2008. Andrew has worked in the financial services industry for over 25 years, most recently as a Private Client Manager at Killik & Co. in Ipswich, and is a fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments.
