Barclays hires Ron Trichon as Head of Equities Generalist Sales for the Americas

Mr. Trichon joins Barclays as a Managing Director, responsible for the distribution of equities products to the firm’s most important clients. He joins Barclays with 19 years of equities markets experience.

Barclays today announced the appointment of Ron Trichon as Head of Equities Generalist Sales for the Americas. Based in New York, Mr. Trichon will report to Eric Schlanger and David Siffringer, Co-Heads of Equities Distribution for the Americas.

Mr. Trichon will focus on expanding the firm’s client relationships by working with chief investment officers, portfolio managers and analysts across Barclays client base. Under his leadership, the Generalist Sales team will drive the distribution of equities products to the firm’s most important clients, including cash and new equity offerings, as well as other non-equity products from across the capital markets.

Mr. Trichon will also hold the role of Global Product Head for US cash equities, overseeing the firm’s US product focused Generalist Sales teams outside of the US.

Mr. Trichon joins Barclays from Goldman Sachs where he most recently ran the Franchise Sales Desk in New York. Prior to his position at Goldman Sachs, he worked at Prudential Securities. He has 19 years of equities markets experience.
