Barclaycard Freedom offers customers a ray of sunshine this summer

Biggest ever promotion lets shoppers earn 10% on all purchases between 7th – 10th July

Keeping the family entertained during the summer months can be an expensive task, so Barclaycard Freedom, the loyalty scheme from Barclaycard, is launching its biggest ever promotion to bring families a ray of sunshine this summer. Running from Thursday 7th to Sunday 10th July, shoppers will be able to earn 10% Reward Money on all purchases in thousands of participating retailers nationwide.

Reward Money is available from a variety of retailers and shoppers can earn 10% on everything from petrol and magazines at Shell to Dough Balls and pizza at PizzaExpress. Savvy customers will be able to earn Reward Money back on the big holiday getaway and those family meals out for four consecutive days.

Richard Wergan at Barclaycard comments: “As economic conditions continue to create a pinch on shoppers’ wallets this is an ideal time to launch our 10% promotion and give consumers a helping hand during the longest holiday period of the year. There are currently 1.3 million cardholders earning Reward Money through Barclaycard Freedom and with no registration or new card needed, we hope this will encourage other Barclaycard holders to take advantage of one of the most transparent loyalty programmes on the market.”

Barclaycard Freedom works by rewarding shoppers in pounds not points. There is no need to register or receive a new card, eligible Barclaycard holders will simply earn Reward Money automatically at participating retail outlets. Customers can then choose to redeem some or all of their Reward Money balance or continue to save towards a future purchase.

Cardholders can search for thousands of participating retailers online at www.barclaycardfreedom.co.uk, or they can text ‘Freedom’ to 67777 to access a list of retailers and offers whilst on the move. Cardholders can view their Reward Money account by logging onto mybarclaycard where it will display their current Reward Money balance, list transactions where Reward Money has been earned or redeemed, and display relevant offers.

Where specific retailer earn offers are also running during the period of this promotion, then the only impact of the 10% Reward Money offer on such retailer special offers will be on 10% on the total purchase value. Returned purchases will result in related Reward Money being deducted from your account. Please note that as experience at retailers varies, there may be a delay in the offer being applied to transactions.
